Why “Back to Being Sara” ?

If you and I were standing face-to-face, I would greet you with a warm smile and a friendly “Hello!”

I am so excited that you have come across this blogging website. This blog was inspired by the God who not only saved me from my sin, but rescued me from a horrible eating disorder back when I was in my teenage years. I chuckle as I write this because I am still only 21-years old, but when I look back and reflect on my teen years, along with all the heart-ache, pain, and tears I wept during those times, it only brings me joy and comfort knowing that God was able to save me from that experience and bring me into a place of true repentance and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

The reason why I chose to call this blog “Back to Being Sara” is due to the fact that once upon a time…you and I were created in God’s image. The bible tells us this truth in the Book of Genesis. Long before our parents even knew each other, God predestined us to become like Him. According to Thessalonians 2:13 “He chose us from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and believe in the truth.” Therefore, I believe that you and I have access into entering into a relationship with the Lord and coming back to the place where we lost our one true hope.

Romans 6:23,for the wages of sin is death….” But, once we turned away from our sins (repented) and have accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Lord and Saviour, Romans 6:23 also says “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I believe that you and I were created for greatness, which is to live in an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth, and in Heaven. We can’t earn our way into Heaven, however, having placed our trust in Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins will enable us to have access into His Heavenly Kingdom.

Romans 8:1-4 says:

For there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned the sin in the flesh.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Jesus makes all things new, and changes us into who we were meant to be once we accept Him as Lord. This why I created a blog called “Back to Being Sara”, to share with you about how Jesus has the power to change us back into who we were meant to be all along. He has changed me into a woman who has faith, strength, and courage and has given me patience, love kindness, joy, peace, thankfulness, and so many other attributes that come with the promise of the Holy Spirit once we accept Christ as Lord.

Thank you for reading about my great adventure with the Lord, will you come along and join me on this journey of faith?
