Well good morning everyone!
What a wonderful, awesome day this is. It’s only 7:30 a.m., but hey, it’s already awesome because we’re alive! I’m currently sitting at my kitchen table (tea in hand), and I’m really excited at what today shall bring!
A quick little update about this week:
Monday was beautiful. I haven’t been getting very good sleeps lately, and on Monday I could reallly feel it. I was so drained, to the point where I just wanted to sleep all day. The Lord, however, had other plans for me! I was able to get up, get outside and collect the chicken eggs, do some some homework, volunteered for a couple of hours, and then headed back home to make home made pizza for the fam! It was an awesome day, despite having little energy, I was more focused on God’s ability to strengthen me (Phil. 4:13)
Tuesday’s are beginning to become one of my favourite days of the week, because every Tuesday morning I wake up at about 6:30 a.m. and leave the house by 7:30 a.m. to head back to school for class. I have about an hour’s drive from home to school, so it’s during this time where I can listen to good music, think, pray, and just rest in the Lord! I find driving to be so calming sometimes, especially when it’s on a country road with little traffic.
Wednesday was Valentines day, but it was the first Valentines day where I didn’t go out and buy any chocolates, gifts, or valentine cards. I truly didn’t think it was necessary this year, because I wanted to express my love to others in different forms. Instead, I decided to write a blog talking about love, what Jesus’ love looks like, and why His love should motivate us to share our love with others. I also wanted people to know that no matter how much they feel unloved, they have their own love story; otherwise known as the bible. I also decided on a whim, to drive back home to surprise my family (they thought I would be home on Friday). I’m so thankful that I live closer to school now, so the drive back and forth isn’t as long as it was last year.
Thursday, which is today, is all about finding joy in the little things. I’ve realized that joy can be found anywhere, anytime. No matter how dark things seem to feel around us, or even foggy, there is still joy to be found!
So enjoy watching some of these video’s I’ve picked out, hoping that at least one can brighten up your day.
As I was walking through the park, I noticed a young girl pushing her dog in the swing and couldn’t help but smile.
My yiayia and I, at 5 guys, burgers and fries!
Sometimes, God allows us to have a “thorn in the flesh”, so that we can rely on Him to help us.
The title says it all “Never Give Up”. Watch this video and you will be touched by MeiLin’s story. This video was part of one of my online classes, and we had to write our thought’s about it.
